Howard Franklin Jacobson
Howard Franklin Jacobson, 85, died Friday, July 5, 2013 at Savannah Square under the care of Hospice Savannah. He was born July 6, 1927 to the late Paul and Elizabeth Harding Jacobson. Howard was a native of Rockford, Illinois and lived at The Landings on Skidaway Island for the past 26 years. He and his wife were charter members of Messiah Lutheran Church on Skidaway Island. He was a member of The Landings Club where he loved to play golf with his many buddies. Howard served as a SEABEE in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1952.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Howard Jacobson, and his two brothers, Stanton Hall Jacobson, and Russell Harding Jacobson.
Howard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Griffey Jacobson, of Savannah, daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Randall Inhulsen, of Fayetteville, GA, grandchildren, Bradley Keller, Holly Inhulsen, Kailey Inhulsen, and Daniel Ryan Jacobson, and one great-grandson, Jayden Keller.
A Memorial Service to honor his life will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Messiah Lutheran Church, One Westridge Road, Savannah, GA 31411.
Remembrances may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
